Alberto Bigoi is 46 years old and was born in Carrara, Italy's marble capital in Tuscany. He is at sea since 1975. He started as a deckhand on cargo ships then grew to a good position and switched to the cruise liners of Costa Cruises as an officer.

He works on his boats since 1988, and he sailed extensively in Greece, Sicily, the Easter mediterranean and of course the seas around Italy

He speaks English, Italian, French and Spanish
